Angel food cake slices buttered & toasted
Vanilla ice cream
Lemon Orange Sauce
SAUCE:
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons scant cornstarch
1 1/2 cups orange juice
dash salt
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 can fresh lemon juice
grated lemon rind
SAUCE: Combine sugar, cornstarch, orange juice and salt. Cook until clear. Add butter lemon juice and lemon peel, and stir to blend.
To serve: Place toasted cake slice on plate and top with scoop of ice cream. Drizzle warm sauce over the top.
